Serve Your Community

Abundant Life Church believes in being a vital part of our community. Here are some of the ways we are involved in serving those around us.

Emmaus:

We provide meals and basic support for about 75 homeless and impoverished people each Monday evening. Meals are prepared at the Happy Valley Campus and served at Clackamas Service Center. To get involved with Emmaus as a cook, meal server, or find out other ways to help, contact Kathi Gerspach at 503-630-5780 or email: see_through_me@ymail.com.

Happy Valley 4th of July Festivities:

We love our community by sending a huge team of volunteers to serve at Happy Valley Park each 4th of July. For more information, contact Pastor Mike: Mvermace@alcpdx.com.

Serving, Socks & Stew:

We desire to have a consistent impact on our community. We have the privilege of partnering with several organizations in our community that do a great job at supporting those in need: Oregon Food Bank, Clackamas Community Center, Zarephath’s Kitchen and Pantry, The Fathers Heart Street Ministry, My Father’s House, Portland Rescue Mission, warming shelters, and food banks in local schools.

As a church, we help provide vital resources for these community partners, like socks and undergarments, peanut butter, and hearty soups. We also have the opportunity to help these organizations with service projects they may need at their facilities. For more information, please contact Vstuart@alcpdx.com.

Shepherd’s Door:

We partner with Shepherd’s Door, the women and children’s ministry center of Portland Rescue Mission, to reach out in the Parkrose community. To find out more, contact Pastor Mike: Mvermace@alcpdx.com.
